Capital Investments

  • The startups and small companies are more for finding good ideas and quality people.
  • We have several possibilities we have written up, some have business plans, on in the past years we feel are successful projects.
  • We will list them soon.

Please note: American Century Importing investing process only includes small high-tech startups and companies. We have no expertise in anything else.

Utilizing a Holding Company

By creating a holding company to both accept funds and provide flexibility buying/merging/licensing of promising high tech growth companies. We will not give money to new companies to do as they please. Our judgement is preferred. Our judgement creates a holding company for control and profits.

How it works

  • We find, through research, compatible companies ready to grow and then purchase or integrate
  • Possibly merge several companies resulting in greater efficiencies
  • Provide all research to all internal companies
  • Use common software and common accounting
  • Eventually becoming part of a Manufacturing Village for long-term viability

Several parameters are important

  • Is a small part the company makes that enables bigger products
  • Is anyone else researching or developing a competing product or technology
  • Are the originators capable of helping, but not responsible for growth
  • What are current production methods
  • Could important intellectual property be involved
  • Could companies be merged
  • Is the technology ahead of competition
  • Could a larger company easily create the products seeming so original shortly before

We would need to

  • Create an investment fund raising maybe 100 million US dollars
  • Find the best people in our technology areas and pay them large amounts of money to work on making things work
  • Get all the companies we work with a structured environment
    • Same legal structure
    • Same software to run a business including manufacturing and warehouse functions
    • Accounting structure for many purposes, including auditing and year-to-year comparisons
  •  Determine if a good idea is now badly handled
  • Determine the proper price and investment required for each business
  • Be prepared to walk-away if the payback over a period of time is not acceptable
  •  80 percent success rate easily balances out any losses
  • Several groups with internal related products should be formed
  • Central management office for accounting, legal, digital design and services, etc.
  • Long-term success over several generations of administrations
  • Eventually most of the early investments will be folded into a Manufacturing Village, part of the reindustrializing America project

Where will these small Techno firms be found

  • The publications about the most interesting companies are readily available for free such a Nasa Tech Briefs, Fabricator, NED, and so many more
  • Many are looking for investment but they maybe missing a communication channel
  • Universities are full of people with ideas
  • Ideas could arrive in America from anywhere around the world
